About me…

Hi, I’m Nicky (they/she), the founder of Celestial Soul.
I’m a Somatic Sexologist and a trainee Person-Centred Counsellor, offering trauma-informed counselling and somatic (body-based) therapy in the UK.

I support people who want to feel safer in themselves, clearer in their boundaries, and more connected to who they truly are, especially around sex, intimacy, identity, and self-trust.

I specialise in supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and sexual trauma survivors. If sex, intimacy, gender, or sexuality feels difficult, confusing, or painful, we can start there.

You might recognise yourself in some of these experiences:
You feel anxious, shut down, or disconnected in intimacy, even with someone you care about.
You freeze, fawn, dissociate, or “go blank” during sex, or push yourself through it.
You find it hard to say no, ask for what you need, or trust your body’s signals.
You feel disconnected from pleasure, or ashamed of wanting it.
You’re questioning your sexuality or gender, coming out later in life, or unlearning old conditioning.
You look “fine” on the outside, but inside you feel overwhelmed, tense, numb, or on edge.

My approach

My approach is gentle, grounded, and consent-led. There’s no pressure to perform, fix yourself, or talk about anything before you’re ready. We go at your pace, working with both your emotional world and what’s happening in your body, because trauma doesn’t only live in thoughts, it can live in the nervous system too.

In sessions, we might explore things like:
How trauma has shaped your boundaries, self-trust, and relationships
Why sex and intimacy can feel complicated, stressful, or unsafe
How anxiety, numbness, people-pleasing, or anger may be protective responses
How to rebuild safety, confidence, and connection to your body over time
How to create a relationship with yourself that feels steadier, kinder, and more real

Clients often tell me they feel held, seen, and able to breathe in our work together, especially if they’ve spent years feeling like they have to be “good”, “easy”, or “fine” for other people.

My training and professional standards

I’m fully insured and work within a trauma-informed, ethical framework. I’m a member of the Association for Sexological Bodyworkers, and I’m currently completing supervised clinical training in counselling, due to qualify May 2026. I am recognised as a trainee Counsellor by the BACP.

Additional training (selected)

Suicide Prevention (Grassroots)
Wheel of Consent (advanced training)
Equality and Diversity CPD
Polyvagal Theory CPD
Working with Neurodiversity CPD

A note on inclusivity

My practice is queer-positive, gender-affirming, and non-judgemental. I work with people in many kinds of relationship dynamics, including open relating. You don’t need the “right words” to begin, and you don’t need to justify your experience to be taken seriously here.

If you’re looking for a queer therapist in the UK, or a trauma-informed therapist for sexual trauma, and you want a space that is warm, grounded, and honest, you’re welcome here.

Next step: Book a free intro call, or email me with any questions. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay, we’ll figure it out together.

In Addition

I am spiritual junkie, qualified as a Level 4 Yoga Teacher, and am attuned to Reiki Level 2, and Theta Healing.

Part of my gifts as a therapist, and with clients consent, is to work intuitively with energy and any channel that opens up. I have been aware of my intuitive nature since I was about 8 years old and have spent many years in spiritual circles and working with energy and honing my skills.

As well as working with clients experiences in this lifetime, on occasion and usually when my clients are aligned to work of this nature, the channel opens and we are able to work on past life regression and healing generational wounds also. This isn’t for everyone and is outside of the Somatic Sexology and counselling practice but is an option to include in some but not all of the work we do together.
